I have an order coming from McMurray in June but couldnt wait to get started. I got 4 pullets and a rooster from my dad. The rooster is predominately white but has beautiful long black/green tint tail feathers. Any idea what he might be? I was thinking Phoenix or silver leghorn but Im not sure.

Sounds like a silver duck winged Pheonix to me without seeing a picture. Check and see if he has dark colored legs. They would also be kind of skinny. Depending on his size he could also be a japanese bantam of some kind.
It is a beautiful day today. I plan to get the pool pump fixed and try to gather and mark the rest of the garage sale stuff for our garage sale this week. What are everyone else's plans for the day? Also, we are looking for a black pug to join our family and are having no luck. If anyone knows of someone trying to find a home for one please let me know!
1. Mow the grass.
2. Finish putting up the netting around the garden to keep the chickens out.
3. Plant tomatoes, peppers, strawberries.
4. Work on the fencing around the grow out pen for the adolescent chicks.
5. Chores, of course.
6. (Probably should have been #1... Thank God for this gorgeous day.
Hey, GeoKan... are you able to candle any of those eggs? The light colored ones should be easy. For the marans I use a very intense tactical flashlight. I can't see everything, but I can usually tell if they have started or not.
bnjmik-Great job on the pallet/entertainment center job. I think things you build yourself, especially when doing a salvage or adaptive re-use project mean so much more than just going out and buying something.
1. Pay bills
2. Mow
3. Call 811 back and find out why the waterlines were not marked.
4. Pay more bills
5. Finish planning chain link fence layout
6. Finish deciding on how big to build new shed.
7. Start on my wife's mother's day gift. (Retaining Wall Garden with Bird Bath) This may take a while
