So my rant for the day, took my son to his baseball practice (having talked with the coach lastnight) was at 6:00 for an hour! 6:40 we'd had enough practice by ourselves w/ no call saying practice was canceled we left! Well atleast we made the best of it... He's grounding better and making the bounce pass home after 40yrd catches... Ahh to be 6 again!

Isn't that annoying? I love the game, too, so we always had a car full of our own equipment; we made the best of those times. Still miss my kids being young enough to want to play ball with mom.
My oldest daughter had her first foray into coaching kids ball this spring. She always made the effort to make those calls. Her pet peeve? Having to talk to the 10 year old brother of one of her players cause the parents didn't speak English. Didn't always get the message across, but she tried.
It sure would be nice to have that energy, and for everything to be that simple again! Ohh well, it makes watching him that much more enjoyable! But in chicken news, my Barred Cohin girls are 5 for 5 since being here (probably cause they're spoiled now)... They're not the biggest eggs, but boy am I glad to have fresh eggs every day!
This might be a stupid question, but does anyone around here have a live birds shipping box that they may have recieved chicks in or something? Or what's the cheapest way to get just one?
You can also get boxes from Petco that are 10x12x16, and while you CAN ship in them, they don't have filter over the vents, and they aren't approved by the USPS. My PO ships them regularly and you can get filter paper to cover the vents.
Let me know if you need any other info about shipping.

Where can you get this at?
This morning I finally found someone with light brahma chicks (I've been looking everywhere, and these are three weeks already), and we're just trying to see if there's any way shipping them would be affordable. Also does she have to be NPIP certified to ship birds to KS (she's a new member like myself... Hatched another member's eggs but can only keep two)
