Yeah, it was my 3yr old that had the accident. And that was the first accident she's ever had at night! So it figured that it would happen in our bed.

My 4 yr old still wears pull ups at night- for some reason, he can't get thru the night no matter what we try. (we've tried it all) Dr says he should grow out of it, and not to worry for a couple more years.

Danz- oh YIKES!!! That is so gross, but YIKES! I would have totally freaked out on that one! How in the world did he get stuck in your pocket? Did it have a zipper on it? Or maybe he just got turned around? That is so darned odd!! I think the scenario you gave it likely what happened.

Nana-- oh poor chicken!!! I'm sure the new owners are checking their Tracking and going nuts looking and waiting for him!! If they call the PO, will whoever they talk to even know about this? Or will they not know and tell them to keep waiting?? Geez. I hope the owners are able to find him. In the meantime, what do you do with a chicken? I guess keep him fed and watered? It is sooooooo expensive to ship a large bird. I looked into a bit ago to see if I could afford a couple of adult silkies from someone, but decided that the $60 shipping was too steep.

Preschool day today, but today I just sat in my favorite coffee shop and laid on their couch and read a book and listened to music. Nice down time while waiting for the kids morning to pass. I don't think I'm in there too often... but without asking, they already know what drink I'm ordering and write my full name on the cup before I have to tell them who i am!! LOL! I love that place! During the winter when I have some down time, my favorite thing to do is knit and watch the people walking on the sidewalk outside. It's right in the middle of downtown, so it's really active and fun to sit there.

Good afternoon!

So you may all be the first to hear the good news I finally cat the email saying that the Loan for the house has moved on to closing. So come Monday we will be first time home owners!!

SURELY when that bird doesn't arrive where it is supposed to they will start calling and tracking it.

Danz- Oh, man! I hate mice!

Those dirty little boogers! If it crawled into your pocket from those pots I wonder why it died in there. They can chew their way out of about anything.

Here's my good story, and my GROSS story. I am really happy I solved my dilema about what to put in the front of my cages to hold the shavings back from the door. I found some trim wood that's about the size of a piece of lath only a little thicker. I cut it to the length I needed then rounded off one end. I screwed the rounded end loosly with one screw to the inside of the trim and it works perfectly. I can put the "threshold" down, and then swing it up out of the way when I want to clean the cages. I got all 8 of them done.

Here's the GROSS part.... We have a belt sander that hubby and I used in our machine shop. I love that thing.

I decided it would be a quick and easy way to smooth out my rounded ends after I cut them with the jig saw. I hadn't used the band sander in a while. When I turned it on, it threw something wet out in a spray of splatters all over my arm and all over the front bench of the sander.

I still have no idea what it was. It was not bloody, so I don't think it was a mouse, but I think it may have been a HUGE SPIDER that was thrown out in little pieces all over me.

Neil & Jena, congratulations!!! My folks live south of Ottawa off of 59 Hwy, it's nice country around there. Hope you enjoy your new home.

Ivy--- oh, YUCK!! I'd be freaking out-- I HATE spiders!!! Sends shivers down my spine! ewww.

Nana- oh that is wonderful!!! How did that happen?? Did the new owners call in? Or did they try to track it? Would love to hear how they got him home. So nice, and I'm glad that the PO people were so nice to the bird.

Does anyone know PrairieChiken?? I know he/she (?) lives in Kansas. Anyone know where in Kansas??

Wichita area customer had picked up a rooster yesterday, but another box that was supposed to be with it was missing. The shipper said the boxes had been duct taped together and apparently were separated somewhere along the way through Fed-Ex.

This box had duct tape on it too, so they were pretty sure it had gotten to the right home.

Lesson learned - label both boxes!

But it was a great day for at least a few postal workers who had a part in this happy ending.
