I must have a strong stomach I used to breed rats and cared for about 200 feeder mice at the pet store so rodents dont bother me. I could do without alot of spiders but they don't get to me to bad either, I just really hate getting up at 2am to kill them for my wife! lol, Other than that I like having a few harmless spiders around to keep the bugs in check.

Oh, I don't mind spiders so much. They have their place, and as long as they are just doing what spiders do, and not necessarily in my house, I'm okay with that.

I don't particularly care to have them crawling on me, and I REALLY didn't care to have one thrown all over me in little bitty splatters.

Yeah spiders have a place ...... as far from me as possible!!! I don't care for mice either but they don't particularly scare me. I just see them as pests and disease carriers. But spiders... now that is another story.
I have no idea why the mouse couldn't get out of my pocket. I just thank God that I didn't put my jacket back on cause I've always got my hands in my pockets.

I managed some how to haul a 100 foot roll of wire over to the mandarin aviary today and got it put up everywhere except where DH wants to put a lift out drive through gate. I will have to cut out a place for a man door but want to build the door first. I worked on the rocks some and decided I really need some flag stone. The rocks just don't lay right on the pavers. That's what I get for listening to a man instead of doing what I wanted. I found the best price for flag stone in Wichita, but need DH to go with me cause we need to pull the trailer. I just don't feel comfortable doing that. I wish I could just get it delivered but they don't deliver that far. Dang! And that means spending more money. I wish sometimes I weren't so darned much of a perfectionist. He won't be off until Tuesday so I have to just wait. And of course that means spending a bunch more money.
I am going to be on the go most of the day tomorrow so I won't get much done anywhere. I hate days like that.

OMG. What a night at work! Had to have the police in FOUR different times! My legs are tired and I have to be up again by 7:00a.m. so I'm going to go to bed. It looks like I won't have much computer time for the next few days so I hope everyone has a great weekend!

Has anyone ever gotten a bird from PrairieChiken? What did you think?? Healthy??

Ivy, where on earth do you work? That sounds awful.
I have a problem. I have noticed the last few mornings my neighbors dog has been here bright and early. I don't like it but I tolerate the dog cause it is friendly and doesn't chase the birds. But today I watched him and now I am steamed. This &*#*$^* dog was sniffing around and eating every egg he could find. This ticks me off. And I thought my birds were just being lazy! I'm not sure how to handle this. When my dogs went visiting a few times he never minded so I want to be nice. He lives about a mile away. My dogs get to chasing a coyote or something and don't always stop when they get off my property. But they never cause a problem. But I see egg stealing as a problem. I am trying to think this out before I make a call. How do I gently put this but still keep good relations just in case my dogs show up there? I really don't want to get up at dark thirty to gather eggs because of someone else's dog.

I would just call or visit the neighbor and tell him that you didn't have any problems with the dog but that you caught him eating your eggs at dark 30 and that it needs to stop and ask him how he wants to deal with it.

I need to get on here less, I keep finding birds I want and can't have, it's making me grumpy.
