tweety-that probably won't work because most duck eggs incubate for a week longer than chicken eggs and the duck hen brings back the extra humidity, that duck eggs need, when she takes breaks to swim and eat. So a chicken will most likely get bored and give up before they would hatch and they wouldn't have enough humidity to hatch anyway.

Ritter - ahh, okay. I haven't researched ducks at all. My husband just asked if ducks would be cute as well in our back yard. thanks!

I've been told their easiest under a broody duck hen but look into and incubator and read up. Most domestic ducks fall under mallard standards in that sense.
