Consolidated Kansas

Ok, just talked to Ivy. Her DH is resting. They have not removed the catherder yet as he was bleeding to much. He did have a 75% blockage. I will just tell you this, his pain is gone, been living with it for a long time, thought it, the pain was from some old injury. This is what Ivy text me

"DH is out of the cath lab. He had a 75% blockage in his circumflex artery. His circumflex artery services the part of the heart normally serviced by the right anterior descending artery, very unusual."

Guess he is hungry and feeling good. I hope this takes care of the problem, as long as he has suffered the last couple of months. I bet it is going to be hard to hold him down now!!

Ok UPDATE FROM IVY!!!
Ivy's DH in having the heart cath. They have found a coranary that is narrowed. Don't know how much. Don't know if they are going to be able to stint it. Don't know if they will have to go in and do a bypass.

Lots of help arn't I. Any way as soon as I hear more, I will let you know. Praying he does not have to have a bypass, but it he does, I know he will do well. Don't know much about Topeka Dr.s, but the ones in Joplin saved my life. I am sure he is in good hands. The Dr,s and Ivy's!!!!!

Please let IVY know that we are praying for them and hoping everything turns out fine.

Wow Loralee you work fast! I think maybe you should have a new job building coops for people, you could make some money at it. I hope you feel better soon, it's the pits to be sick. I'm finally about over my crud after two weeks, yuck.

Candace, congrats on the new chicks coming, I would be excited too! I don't know if you read the latest on the pup saga, but I'm having quite a time with them. I put up a gate across the run door & they can get through an 8 inch square, yes 8 inches. I watched where they were going through & today put up a board across & left only the one small square open at the bottom right corner & you guessed it they got through it too. So both of them have been cooling their heels today, one tied out in the yard & the other in the dog run. I'm about fit to be tied with them. I absolutely cannot shut my chickens out of the coop all day & can't afford to feed the pups chicken feed & lose the eggs I sell. Arggggh!

Prayers go out to IVY & her DH that things are going well & they can treat him & get him feeling better soon.

For any who have not been to the Kansas Poultry Swap recently we have a new list for chicken care/sitting for people who are going on vacation to find someone to possibly care for their birds while they're away. If you would like to add your name & info just PM Tonya or I & we'll get you added. Be sure to include your location, how far you will travel, & what other animals you would be willing to care for. I think it will be really nice for us to know if there is someone close by who could care for our birds while we're away.

Yeah, still feeling pretty miserable! My nose is a faucet-- and I'm dripping on everything. Ick. I'm thinking I could turn a bit of a profit on this hutch style chicken coop! So far it's cost me nothing. BUT... even if I did make it all brand new-- I'm thinking it would cost under $200. Probably closer to $150! There just isn't much to it. I am going to make the nest box on the outside. After i got it mostly built, I don't want to take up any floor space since I do hope to add a few more silkies to my trio. I'm going to paint it the same color as my other coop. I've done a lot more work since I posted the pictures this afternoon. I'm pretty happy with it! :)

Yeah, if I ever got ambitious-- I think I would build a few of these and list them on CraigsList!

Those would make perfect broody or grow out coops! You should take pics of yours and figure out what exactly it would cost to make and post it on Craigslist. Then if you have someone interested you could build it. You could let them pick the color of paint they wanted.

Does anyone crochet or knit? We have a grand baby coming in July and I would like a handmade blanket for him/her but I don't know how to make one. We will find out later this month or early next month if the baby is a boy or girl. If anyone is willing to make me one please let me know how if you knit or crochet and about how much you would charge.

Ivy, I am glad they found something that they can fix. My husband had 2 stents put in in Dec. and he said he felt much better immediately. I hope your husband has a speedy recovery and feels much better with the stent.
