Consolidated Kansas

TSC, is caring some new products made by Manna Pro. I bought some so I could try them out. They had Rooster Booster, poultry conditioner, and a couple other products. Might be worth checking them out.

I was thinking, ya know, might be fun if we tried to put together an ebook here on byc on different things we all do to treat our birds. Feeding, treatments, waterers, emergency's, hatching, brooding. If we all contributed, might be one heck of a reference guide for everybody. Just a thought.

That's actually a great idea!! I'd be more than willing to contribute questions that I had while starting up (since I'm right in the middle of it) as well as things that I wish I'd known before I started buying stuff. LOL We could easily do this using Google documents so that everyone had access and could add information to it when they had time. It could then be converted once it was finished. I have lots of ebook converter software, so I can convert anything to a .pdf, .epub. .mobi, etc...

Trish, she almost looks like a Golden Phoenix, but she also Resembles in pattern my Red Cap hen...Hey, I bet she's Golden Campine, or part Golden Campine! Let me look through my floch....but look at these Campines - the feather color and partial red feathers down her neck is what I'm looking at

Well all I've been gone since about noon. I went to town to take in my house payment and eggs. I ended up getting my mother to the emergency room and admitted into the hospital. She was just totally out of it. She took 11 showers this morning and she hadn't done her breathing treatments which are essential to her staying alive. She has had bad diarrhea and they said she was severely dehydrated and that could make your mind malfunction. However they are putting her in isolation until her labs come back. It's kind of dumb since she hasn't been out of the house since she last went to the doctor and they are concerned of something contagious. Oh well. I think it is just that she has been on strong antibiotics and has killed off all her beneficial bacteria. She is so frail. She only weighs 90 lbs.
Anyway I'll catch up tomorrow if I have time.

for your mom.

Went to Orscheln's today just for the new arrivals and managed to leave with nothing. Really wanted some of the Fryers too. Need more roos, but not them sadly. Will try to make it to the Pryor show this weekend to reward myself for my tremendous restraint.

That's great!! I hope you'll post puppy pictures when you pick yours up!!! :)

So today I got the first coat of paint on the mini coop-- inside and out. It needs one more coat, and I'm good to go. I didn't get out there and put the roof on-- too dang windy and cold! I finally got out there to paint, but it was blowing all over. I got paint all over me.

Got dinner cleaned up and now making cupcakes for school tomorrow. A mom's job is never done. Sigh.

OH!!! And GUESS WHAT!?!? I could just scream!! I used up two of my silkie eggs that I got yesterday-- one was not fertile, as expected. The other one?!?! Fertile!! ARGHHHH! Zorro might have done it! It's from my black silkie. The splash is still infertile. It was a HUGE bullseye! I wish I had taken a picture of it! I should have!! I was so shocked and amazed, I scooped it back out of the cupcake batter with a spoon just so I could look at it better. And now potential chickie is getting baked in with my cupcakes... Bwahahahaha!!

I will post some pictures after we get the pup .

You are going about the incubation all wrong! Can't get a chick that quick! The oven will never work! Just kidding Hawkeye. I could not resist that after reading all you have been through trying to get chicks from your girls.
