Consolidated Kansas

I'm working on a template for the mugs... I was wondering--would you guys prefer something playful and whimsical, something rustic, something clean, or some other theme or style? Feel free to make suggestions even if you don't intend to get one. I would like some input. :3

I don't have much experience with templates so I'm not sure what you are asking.

or if they are adjustable. I think it would be great to do several different things for several different people. For example of what I mean one mug with pictures of all of the grand kids for Grandma, one with pictures of this years trophies for the hunter, one for my DH with the picture he likes of himself with our daughters in their college cheerleding uniforms and one of his favorite pictures of him with our son... so I'm sure the pictures would be different shapes. Hope this makes sense.

hey guys and gals, i'm a new to this site. i live by hays ks and i'm a proud ower of 14 ducks
1 mallard
3 rouen
3 pekin
2 khaki campbell
1 black swedish
1 blue swedish
2 runners
1 cayugas

i'm wanting to have my pairs, ( fawn and white runners, rouen, and pekins) have eggs so i can incubate them for my 5 year son that loves ducks. so i figured i would join this and see what everyone thinks about everything and get better ideas

Feel free to join in the conversation! My only ducks are muscovies and I really like them - they are the only duck that is not mallard based, so have some differences to all of the other breeds. Have you ever tried them?

I got some holiday planning done today, and a load of laundry. That's it. Whatever motivates me to get things done was just missing today.
Sadly, I have a lot of days like that. I've actually been pretty busy all day so far today, since DH got up raring to "get things done". So at 6:30 while I'm trying to enjoy my morning coffee WITH HIM, he was already buzzing around "being productive". LOL. I am taking a quick break to have a cup of tea and check the forum but I won't be able to stay long because I feel guilty sitting while he's being busy.

Picking up this little guy (the one on the right..) Monday..

Hoping Fern (7 months old now) accepts the new addition..
Oooh....how exciting! Its hard to believe Fern is 7 months old already - time flies. Hope she does well and enjoys teaching Sam the ropes!

Cute PUP!! We have sand burs so bad here I look at that beautiful coat and know it would be a constantly full of stickers here. My Roosters often have sand burs in their wattles... The only thing those sand burs are good for are the predators don't like them.
For some reason the LGD breeds seem to do pretty well at staying clean. I don't know how they do it but they can appear covered in mud and hours later they are clean again without any apparent effort on their part.

Hey neighbor! I live in Edgerton, and my wife drives a school bus for Wellsville.

I haven't heard of those two towns - what corner of Kansas is that? Tell us about your flock - pictures are always good too

Basically what I'm doing is I'm creating a graphic with "holes" cut into it where photos can go. You upload your photos and they appear in the appropriate spot, and ta-da! Instant custom coffee mug.... What I'm asking is, should the "frame" for these photos be a certain style. Right now I'm working on a rustic-themed template, since I kind of figure we're pretty much all country folk at heart--if we weren't, we wouldn't be here! lol

I have ducks as well. I really like my ducks. I have pekins, anconas, cayugas, wood ducks, and Mandarin ducks.

I personally like whimsical.

Good to see yet another new face here. Tell us about yourself and join in the conversation. I live about an hour SW of you. There's a couple people who live over your direction.

Kansas Prairie we have a bevy of cuckle burrs around here and a few sand burrs here. The dogs tend to pick them up but chew them out of their furr. The places they can't reach is where you have to either pull them out or cut them out.
I wish my youngest female was old enough to breed. I have been getting one call after another looking for pups. I hate telling people I will be waiting at least another year before I let her get bred. I'm sure most people don't want to wait that long.
I have another busy day today. I need to figure out what to cook for a church dinner tomorrow as well. I really don't want to make a trip to the grocery store today. I am going to have to go the first of the week to get the rest I need for Thanksgiving dinner. I need to get back on cleaning detail again today. I was so busy yesterday I didn't get any done. DH goes back on night shift tonight and I hate trying to clean while he is sleeping but it has to be done. I still need to set up some more pens and move some birds but I just don't know if I am going to find the time.
One of my neighbors is having an auction today and I would like to go down but I don't have time to stand around. He has some equipment I could probably use for grain storage.
I put my white orp eggs in the hatcher today. Looks like I may have around 50% good in there. A couple were questionable in those but they could be viable. I was almost afraid to look. I hadn't candled at all. I have a few more baby ducks to move outside and a couple more pipped eggs that haven't hatched yet. I shut down the second incubator yesterday and am back down to one and the hatcher. I thought I was done but got Olandsk eggs and have a few d'uccle eggs to put in there.
