I have been following this thread since this morning and I must say you have made my day lol. Mine had the same parties woke me up at 3 in the morning. Turned up the portable heater and turned off the light. Finally quieted down. This last hatch was the worst. Other two no problems.
Quote: Petej-I hate to tell you this, but there is noone to call-BYC is the only place I could come for some support.
If the noise gets to be more than you can bear, you may have to turn them in yourself-I know, I know, that would be a horrible thing to do, but it may be your only option.
I know what you mean about the water-I couldn't believe the fact that mine figured out a way to turn over their waterer-they were a few days old.
Lastly, I do admit it, my kids are WAY out of control...I'm working on it...
easttxchick I have to agree with Petej here. Since working with your pictures, my three week olds have started a mosh pit of their own. They haven't knocked over the water yet but they keep knocking over the food and if I don't get a cover on my brooder soon they are going to break out! You really need to get those two ruffians under control!
Miss Lydia-ya know, they could be ducks in chick costumes...I guess I need to look into that. My ducks have always been pretty calm in the brooder, though. It's a possibility. dsqrd-I am so sorry-I'm afraid my babies are corrupting all of the other chicks in the world-it HAS to be some kind of mind control thing they have hidden in the brooder box. I guess I'll have to search it later. Lord knows what all I'll find in there, though. Now I'm afraid...
