Construction question. Building my @Aart style roosts and poop boards :D

Yes. But ive heard it called everything from tile to kitchen carpet to a rug lol

Eta i find people interchange linoleum and vinyl like kleenex and tissue and band aids and bandages.

“Kitchen carpet” I love it!!!

:lau :lau :lau

Glad you enjoy it as a workplace, it’s one of my favorite places... 99% of the staff is awesome (I’ve only had two bad experiences in the 20 years I’ve been a customer one in electrical and one in appliances). My husband and I used to go on our days off together and just browse all the big stores, our version of a relaxing “date day”.

Ehhh, Nah...vinyl and linoleum are chemically two different materials,
tho both used for floor coverings(among other things).
Where as Kleenex and Bandaid are brand names, for tissues and bandages respectively.

Well, we could all just switch to the term “kitchen carpet” instead! Until someone tries to actually use carpet on their poop boards that is... ICK!

Have had actual carpet in a kitchen, that was pretty ick too.

True, and I usually resist...
I suppose the flooring sellers do the same...and hopefully won't sell linoleum when vinyl is needed.
Just once in a while I can't help myself
I spent a couple decades working in a field where material specifications were critical.

Even though you are going with vinyl...
That cardboard isn't wide enough.
A quick fix is using your feed sacks....cut off the bottom and open up the sack. Paper sacks can be once or twice and then either tossed, composted or laid in the garden as weed barriers.
The plastic sacks last longer and can even be hosed off before replacing on the poopdeck.
Set a wheelbarrow in front, slide the sack into the wheelbarrow, shake a little and put back on the shelf.

"Kleenex" for tissues, "Bandaid" for bandages .... this is known as "brand-name identification." People do it all the time. Linoleum was the stuff that went on kitchen floors for so long the name stuck, older people still call it that even though now it's vinyl. My grandkids laugh at me when I say I'm enjoying my favorite tape when they know it's a CD. Young whippersnappers!

I do believe that is correct.
I've seen that linoleum is making somewhat of a comeback for floor tiles.

Well I’m still sticking with the term “kitchen carpet” from now on!

Wow, that they even know what a tape is is a miracle! I love confusing my cousin’s kids... VCRs, Tapes, one day I’m going to find an eight track tape and some slides from my grandparents vacation! I also hope to one day unplug them from their phones and online games for a bit, maybe take them outside for a change! I was visiting and their internet was cut off for three whole hours, announced by frantic, distressed “mommmm!” Yelling, and severe temper tantrums. It was a rough couple of hours for them
