Contacted by the FBI !!!

For weeks after I post an advert on a local poultry website out here I get swamped with emails. One was a from " A princess who wishes to give away her fortune" another was telling me I had inherited a few hundred thousand dollars after the death of an undisclosed relative. It almost makes me stop advertising my poultry on the site.

Its so sad the some people can stoop so low and pray on those who sometimes have the least to loose.

I got the same one!

It burns me up, when I put something on Craigslist for sale and get all kinds of scammers.

At the school where I used to work, we got faxes all the time with that Nigerian scam. Actually I found that the Secret Service was investigating the situation, so every time I got one of the faxes, I sent it to the Secret Service office. Apparently they're officially a part of the Treasury Department so they are the ones who investigate financial frauds.

I have to say, that's one of the better written versions that I have seen. Apparently, scammers have finally figured out how spellcheck works.

My darn DH almost fell for one off craigslist. We got in a big argument over it until I sent him a copy of almost the exact email from snopes before he'd believe me! Come on hubby, anyone offering to give you more than your asking for has to be a scam! Any normal person would try to pay less!

I didn't know what IC3.gov was so I looked it up: http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx
It's
really worth checking out if you get this kind of junk- it gives you a meaningful place to send/report this rubbish
that has the tools and the desire to investigate and stop it.
Ah...... for a perfect world where my email inbox is not jam packed with junk telling me I've won the Nigerian lottery, am being
contacted by a barrister in England about collecting my lost inheritance or being told that Western Union and even my own email
program require all my credit card info right this minute... dream on, I know... ::sigh::
