Ended Contest # 4: Edible Easter Contest for the 7th Annual Easter Hatch-a-long!

Okay, I just spit coffee on my computer!
I think you'll have to do better if you want to vie for the prize

I'm not artistic like you kids. So here is a funny .. just because.

This is absolutely hilarious. Over on another thread, a member was very sad about the recent loss of his hen named Tippi Hedren, so I think I have to go back to that thread and share this....

Awesome entries everyone!! :love! I am still working on mine but things keep going wrong! My coop collapsed, my fondant keeps melting/sweating and I'm seriously running out of time :barnie. Does anyone have any suggestions for keeping the fondant from melting?

I name them right away and hope for the best. So far I have only gotten 2 girls that I have picked from straight runs and 1 that I have hatched. I guess I should stick to buying pullets.

Awesome entries everyone!!

I was doing good to get it rolled out. Fondant and I are NOT friends!! I sympathize, but can't advise. Hey, I made a poem! Does a poem give me extra credit??

If you say so....
And you said it.

I've never made fondant, but perhaps working it on marble might help (if you aren't already)? That's what they used to use for pastry which also needs to be kept cool.

You did a wonderful job with yours, even the gloves were meticulous! Not sure how you did it but you did. I've never worked with the stuff before so I thought it would be easy, like working with clay. Boy, was I wrong!
