Oh come on...you can do it!

So I decided to make a 'Chicken cake.' I wanted it to look like a Golden Lakenvalder, a chicken I really wish I had haha. I believe their eggs are actually white but as far as I know Cadbury doesn't have large white chocolate eggs. The body is cholocate cake, the head and tail are shaped from fondant, and the feathers are buttercream frosting. She's kinda fat, but I think she still turned out pretty well.
Looks great!

What a wonderful contest! There are so many good entries.

mvawdre2, that is beautiful! Lakenvelders are quite stunning birds are you made a delicious and pretty one. I hope that you get your dream bird someday!

Thank! I hope so too. Maybe I'll get brave and try buying some hatching eggs to incubate

Or you could enter the MPC Easter Egg GIVEAWAY if you haven't already! I think today is the last day to enter.

:love

Great job! I love how you textured the frosting for the feathers. I was planning on making a full size chicken myself but I don't think I want to compete now! :bow

You should still make one! It was super fun to make, which is saying a lot because I'm usually not that into baking.

You? Not into baking? :gig You just created a beautiful, edible, life-sized replica of a chicken out of sugary goodness!

Come on, the more entries there are the more fun we have! Let us have more fun oohing and ahing...please enter!

Okay, I'll give it a try but it probably won't be a chicken :). Honestly, I'm not very good in the kitchen  and the only reason I was going to attempt the chicken was because it hadn't yet been done. You've got to promise oohs and aahs though. No eeews and uhhh's allowed! :D
