Well, here's my second entry...




"The disguises are working, kids...now I've just gotta drag you to safety!"...."

There's no need to fear, SUPERCHICKEN is here!!!

SUPERCHICKEN is a chocolate chick.
The "chicks in disguise" are assorted Jelly Bird Eggs and chocolate mini eggs, as are the ones that fell out of the bucket during the rescue.
The rope is a strip of Foot Long Fruit Rollups - yep, still trying to get rid of those - attached to SUPERCHICKEN with melted chocolate.
SUPERCHICKEN'S "S" is frosting piped on.
His cape is a tortilla chip carefully nibbled away to make pleats, and stuck to his back with melted chocolate.

Hope I captured some of the fun aspects of this contest, and kept the spirit of my first entry in the Gingerbread House contest!!

The Jello is AMAZING! Blooie, super cute!

I don't think we're going to make it in time. I have about 50 things to do today (and we've been coop building during downtime for the past week or so)! It's POSSIBLE we might get to it tomorrow before time runs out. I don't know though! I'm going to say we won't. There's girl scouts in the evening tomorrow and I've been tasked with creating a craft for the girls to do at the last minute. At some point though, we'll make something and put it up - even if we don't make it in time. Maybe I can find a picture somewhere of something I've made in the past though that I could include on here. I have to redeem myself as a newbie here somehow!

Awesome entries everyone!! ! I am still working on mine but things keep going wrong! My coop collapsed, my fondant keeps melting/sweating and I'm seriously running out of time . Does anyone have any suggestions for keeping the fondant from melting?

I was doing good to get it rolled out.  Fondant and I are NOT friends!!  I sympathize, but can't advise.  Hey, I made a poem!  Does a poem give me extra credit??

Extra credit indeed...for creativity, quick witt AND thinking outside the box! Nice poem but LOVED your gingerbread coop . Thanks for sharing it with us!
