I am in the same boat... (if I was lucky enough to win) I would not be able to take the eggs. We are only allowed 2 chickens and I have 3 (shhh)
I'm only allowed four and I've got seven...

Here are my entries. These eggs were painted by the geese themselves. I didnt know who was laying and who wasnt because of a shared nest, so i dabbed the outsides of their vents with different colors of food coloring, as the egg came out the feathers around the vent painted them like tiny brushes. Afterwards all i had to do was match the egg with the gooses bottom. Its non toxic and doesnt harm the goose in anyway.

You say pysanka, I say pysanky. LOL This is the whole reason I got chickens in the first place. I got tired of buying eggs from people and the store to do my art work. So I now have around 70 chickens and ducks that keep me supplied with eggs of all sizes. These eggs are hand drawn with wax, then dipped in the lightest color of dye...then more drawing with wax, and dipped in the second lightest color, etc, etc, until you end up with an egg covered with wax. I then take the egg and hold it over the open flame of a candle and wipe away the melting wax bit by bit. It takes around 4-6 hours to do one egg from start to finish. Enjoy!!

That's cool!

Didn't the food coloring dry before the eggs was laid...maybe the wet bloom hydrated it enough to mark the egg?

Would love to see a pic of a bunch geese running around with colored butts!!

It did dry because i marked them the night before, but when the moisture came when the egg was being laid it moistened the coloring again and marked the eggs. I was skepticle about it working at first but when i found them all colored in the nest i was jumping up and down lol
