Wow, he is just beautiful! I have never seen anything like it.

Thank you! I miss him...just yesterday, I was telling my much smaller Pekin duck baby that I love his eye, but it was nothing like Sammy's Navy Blue eyes were...Just beautiful! Hope he's happy in Florida now! I would be...NJ is still too chilly 44 degrees out right now.

Tough job....trying to be the judge of a contest with so many beautiful birds!!!! glad its not my job.

I said it because I didn't see a pea comb, muffs around face, the right looking tail feathers, and body style, but it might be you never know with hatcheries

He has a pea comb, at least from what I have read and compare, but I completely agree with you about the "tale-tell" muffs (or lack of his). I have read sometimes they don't have them, though. His tail feathers cascade more than what is in the photo. I think he was lifting up his caboose as he swallowed a drink of water.
What body style would you typically be looking for? He has shiny and point saddle and hackle feathers ( like I mentioned a coppery, vibrant, orange).
I'm interested to see what his offspring will look like, and wether they will carry the blue laying gene.

Name of Bird: Cogburn
Age: 1 Year
Breed: Serama
Bantam or Standard: Bantam

Oh my! TRIPLE Colored Lacing!!! I didn't know that was genetically possible!

I'll say! That is the coolest color I've ever seen on a chicken. Cogburn is so handsome!
