The start of it all -- neighbor boy Connor (11) with his rooster Goldie and brother Michael (9) with their little black hen Bebe, the first two chickens they got at school and raised from chicks. With chicks from these two and buying another 30 or so New Hampshire Reds, Connor amassed quite a large flock in a short time, my first two hens came from his NHR flock.
