Wow this moves fast. Time flies when you're having fun. I am half way done with chicken chores. Two girls decided they should lay now so I am giving them their privacy. I thought my barred rock, Peaber, was missing, but she has been in the nest box all day! Didn't even come out for treats usually that is my BO girl Ophelia, but she is out running today. Henry is crowing at the migrating geese. Still think he needs to be dinner, but I just haven't gotten around to it yet. I am starting to wonder if I ever will.

I get that the girls may not understand but what happened to the "grown-ups"?

I know. I'm struggling to act like a grown up myself when I see the Mom. Meaning, just let it roll off my back. Trust that there is a reason for everything, and as long as my daughter doesn't get crushed, we'll be okay.

So I think My chickens are getting fat. how can you tell really . Im not sure if its Im always cacthing them with a full crop or what.

does anyone have any tips on helping combs flop over in medditeranean pullets and hens such as minorcas, andalusians, and leghorns

Both! a small goat in front of a large chicken. They are both 4 months old in the picture.

I joke around saying girls are the best but i dont have boys.My husband wants a little boy so bad. He fills left out.HaHa. I have 3 wonderful naphews thou.
