My fondest memory is with my daughter when she was little. I would have the incubator in my bedroom and she would crawl into my bed and she was so excited to watch the chicks come out of the eggs. I love to see the wonder on a child's face.

I just hope everyone that bought those emu eggs hatch, those darn eggs are EXPENSIVE!!! Wow!

I had a guy pick up some extra silkies I had and he raises Emus. He said he sells something like 300 eggs a year.

We set 60 eggs, 4 breeds and out of 18 silkie eggs had 3 hatch, one had failure to thrive, one got wry neck and the one that survived is a roo with no bantys in the flock.

How about the best hatch ever, but DH was being a butthead and I lost all but 3?

First time we ever set our own khaki campbell eggs we set 24.........lock down was 23............... had 22 pip....................had 2 hatch................20 turned AFTER pipping the wrong way and suffocated

The first hatch was a muscovy duck. She was pretty young. Layed about 30 eggs and non hatched. About 35 days into it she started to eat her eggs. By the 40th day she did not have any eggs left she was delicious
