Worst Hatch Story

I was running a staggered hatch in 5 bators over about 8 weeks. Out of over 500 eggs I got a total of about 30 chicks. I had 3 morons in my house who couldn't tell they had knocked the hose off the washer (more than once) & flooded my basement about 6 times during the 1st 3 weeks & then we had about another week & a half of rain which flooded my basement again to drown the last couple batches of eggs. 60 of these eggs were expensive Silkies I had shipped in (cost me over $85) & I only got 2 chicks out of them. Another shipped batch had 37 eggs & I got 1 chick. This is when I went to completely dry hatches. There was already so much humidity in the basement that my babies were drowning & never even developing.
