A couple of years ago I read a post on BYC where a creative chicken keeper made a diy dust system for his coop. I don't think it was complicated, but all I remember is that a leaf blower was involved. I can't seem to find the article anywhere.

Please help!

The only thing that helped me was switching over to low dust and highly absorbent shavings. Then you have to add extra straw on top so they aren’t getting wet from the highly absorbent shavings.

I believe it is @RonP that uses a leaf blower.

I have access to an air compressor, so sometimes I use that to blow out my coop - a respirator is a MUST! I also shop vac my coop a few times a year as well and dust/sweep the walls/ceiling in between.

Yes it was Ron, he used this system only when doing major bedding changes to blow dust the stirred up dust out of the coop:

I tried it but my coop was too big with too much ventilation for it to work and/or the blower I had was too 'weak'.
