I've had one of these battery operated pop door openers for a couple of years and i'd like to take it off battery—especially the timer—since i now have electricity to the coop. Has anyone made that conversion? Thanks!

Assuming your battery is 12 DC I'd suggest a AC to DC adapter

You'll need one with enough watts or amps to power the door opener.

Wire direct to the wire that went from the door opener to the battery WITH a inline fuse on the + side.

Those are for powering LOW amp devices like radios or phone chargers.

What you will probably need is a much higher powered unit.

You need to determine the amps your motor uses and base it on that

There should be a label on the moter that gives voltage, watts, and amps, or at least two of those numbers so you can figure out the third
