converted deer blind coop?

I posted on Facebook for a shed/coop and got a FREE one, sometimes people don't know there is someone out there that wants what they want to get rid of! (Does that make sense?)

So, I posted that I have 200 to spend, and I got an email response back that says "you can't buy materials for 200 good luck". Why do people have to be jerks? If you don't have what I need at a price that I can afford, go away. Like someone said eariler, one man's trash is another's treasure. How do they know there isn't someone out there looking to get rid of something that would work for me?

People are ALWAYS looking to get rid of something. I can't tell you HOW MANY TIMES I have gotten free stuff. If it weren't for FREE stuff, there is NO WAY that I could have the materials that I have had to build everything that I need.

If you are willing to post, someone will likely answer you.

I always give away stuff because I don't want to advertise and deal with people.

Many people will give away what you are willing to come and get.

Look also for old playhouses and whatnot. Just because you have never been handi does not mean that you cannot convert an existing structure into a coop. BYC provides all the help you need!

Thanks guys for all of your help and support...I may not be handy, but I know it would be easy to put roosts and my existing nest box into something else. I just hope I find something soon!

I wouldn't have mentioned how much you are willing to spend. You'll hear from people with junk and it will' just happen' to cost $ 200. When I was a young kid I wrote to someone that had an ad for cocker pups for $ 35. I wrote and said I only had $ 40. Bingo, that's just how much my pup cost.

Lucky for me, I have someone who builds everything that I need. My main job is to find the materials and draw the designs and he builds. I'm a hustler when it comes to finding things. But that is about all I can do. But once I get an idea on what I want, I don't stop until I get it. It just takes time and patience. Don't let people discourage you. Misery loves company and people can be very jealous of what you are trying to do.

Don't give up. Go for it !!!!!!!
