Converting recycled frames into a run framework

A friend suggested.converting an old carport or gazebo framework into a run framework. The hardware cloth could be attached.with zipties or wire. anyone try this?

I haven't tried it but as long as the gazebo is sturdy, it sounds like a great idea! We used an old screen dor for our run, and that might be a good idea for your gazebo too.

Depending on your climate, you could build an enclosed area inside the gazebo for shelter if needed.

That's a good idea! I had read where someone used one of those to make a coop by covering it with plastic. We thought of doing that but we've been collecting free stuff to make the coop.
