Converting resin shed to coop. How to mod it?

Consider leaving out a panel (or two) and a door and using plywood there instead. That way you can do the mods you need without damaging the vinyl shed. If you do choose to cut the vinyl itself, a jig saw is probably the easiest wast way to cut it.

Oh I forgot... tin snips would probably cut vinyl pretty well too.

Instead of starting a new thread, I am just going to use this as my build thread.

I am going to get this shed this weekend. I will also get pavers to go underneath it. I am going to level the ground, use paver base and paver sand.
I probably won't start on it until mid April when the ground is workable.
I am planning on using hw cloth on the windows instead of installing the vinyl panels. However, I am not sure if the roof would be able to keep enough of the rain out or if I should add something that could be closed and propped open.
The pavers I am looking at are 16x16. So, in order to make the area large enough, I will have excess on the edges. If my calculations are right it will be about 12" all around.
So, my question is, would I still want to add hw cloth around the outside/bottom to prevent anything from getting in (chewers or diggers)?
I will add more as this progresses.
I am pretty excited to have a plan!

Nothing will dig under, but may they be able to pry up, or wriggle the sides up off of the pavers? Just wondering, although IDK what type of predator may act like that.

That would be crazy! This shed has a metal frame, so it is over 300lbs. I am not sure if even diggers can get under it, but I would rather be safe than sorry.

It does NOT have a metal frame, at least not like you think. It is slimsy. That is almost the same one I have, mine do not have the roof windows. Mine does not have a "metal frame" but there are some metal bars that go here and there, but nothing I would call a frame so don't let that fool you.

Roof Windows have been known to leak !! i would Caulk around them like Crazy !Also when done, Caulk all around the base, inside and out. I only did inside and should have done both but it is water proof so far.

I have, for now, window screen over the door windows and put the plastic windows on for the Winter. Will change to wire this year. I also need to make another window somewhere, I just ran out of time least year.

I was just going by the specs. Here is a comparison between the rubbermaid and ketor. I took the pics yesterday and was going to ask about the benefits, but it is $100 difference and the weight difference significant, so answered my own question. I have watched videos on the rubbermaid shed too. I don't think this one has a skylight if that is what you mean by roof window. ?

If it does I would just make sure you put a piece of wood under them for strength and caulk caulk caulk. I wish I had caulked more then I did On I think the HD website, a few reviews had issues with the sky light ones.

yes Rubbermaid is WAY thicker walls. and much more durable. keter will buckle in heavy snow/windy.
The only metal bars I have go across the inside near the roof on front and back, and in the door.
I was trying to find an inside pic but it doesn't show it.

p.s if the 1st one listed is the Keter, there is NO WAY it has a 15# snow load !

It is keter manor. 6x8. Lol. I will go read reviews for the rubbermaid on hd. Thanks!
