I did both so I won't know lol but they did stay uniform in size....I did little cookie scoops full and I kept putting the dough back in the frig between batches and they don't get that big.....that is what my husband was complaining about I said eat more then. I don't know if you have tried soft batch from the store well they stayed about that size.
