I supply eggs to my neighbors and they from time to time bring me bread that is not bad but maybe stale and I put it in the freezer to keep from going bad.

I will set some out to thaw as a treat for my Turkeys and Chickens and then feed it to them they love it.

Well I put some bread out to thaw 2 times and kept finding it back in the freezer my better half does some things that some times I don't understand but any way it had been some time since I had treated my Turkeys and Chickens.

Our temps here lately have been up around 100 degrees and I have been doing my best to keep them cooled off.

I took the frozen sliced bread and holding one slice in each hand was attacked more so when they found the cool treat LOL.

This has been the second week of doing this and have had no ill affects and all my birds are adult or around 15 weeks of age.

I don't even think there was any cases of brain freeze LOL.

Disclaimer No birds were harmed or injured duiring this event.

I love how excited the chickens and turkeys get about a cold treat when its hot outside! I stick fruit and veggie scraps in the fridge or freezer and give it to them when it is super cold. They love watermelon especially. Tomatoes and blueberries are also at the top of the list (although I'm being stingy now that the blueberry bushes have stopped producing so they won't be getting any more of those this year).
