Cool/ weird silkie run

I have a white crested blue polish roo that is free run and with his long legs he runs really fast from one end of the yard to the other, I always laugh as he looks like a long legged african man with long dredlocks running in a marathon. Ivan is his name, I just love him.

I have bantam cochins and seabrights. My Seabright hens and rooster all do the run rather than the head bob. They look sort of like roadrunners when they do this. I've always attributed it to the different body physique of the seabrights. I never heard of them being paralyzed by not doing a head bob. It doesn't make sense anatomically.

Mine all run like sumo-wrestlers. It is especially funny to watch as they are running away. They are large brown-egg layers.

My silkie X d'uccle roo does that, he also likes to flare up his neck feathers when he's running and then come to a screaching halt in front of a girl. He just started mating and I think he is trying to impress them. They just usually ninja kick him several times and walk away.

I wouldn't worry. He sounds very talented!

My flock will all of sudden take off flunning (flying and running at the same time). No apparent reason but it's cute to watch.
