It hit 80 today and that got me thinking what I'm going to do with the coop in the summer. It get's pretty hot in the coop. Can I put fans or something in to cool it down? How do you guys cool your coops down?

Yes I put a large box fan on a shelf (bolted down) up high near the top of the coop This way the chickens don't get a draft. The window helps too. You can also put frozen bottle of water in their water, some people put them in the coop but my chickens never went near them. Some one last year made a cooling chamber by putting bottles of ice in a large bucket so the chiken could go inside. Ask everybody and they all have their own methods. I like to give mine cool treats in the summer. They love watermelon cold. I also spray down their run to help when it gets extrememly hot. You can do a search and you will find many many more things you can do.
