We planted the garden before the coop and run were built. It's our first garden and we did not know that pumpkins would take over all their space then climb and vine into other spaces. They snaked through the hardware landing on top of the coop. This morning that vine reached the full length of the coop, and has a female flower on it. Now they are growing up the other side of the coop and snaking around the front. And the honeydew melon plant I thought had died off in the heat is now also coming up the front. I figure the shade is good so haven't cut anything back. Just getting a kick at the idea of a pumpkin growing on the roof of my coop.

Oh and the sunflowers inside are insane, severa reached the roof and turned back downward to bloom...

Better planning next year.

I'm jealous. My sunflowers have yet to begin to bud and squash/cucumbers barely vine. You must be south of Connecticut, a good 5 temperate zones from me.
