Oh, my gosh! That is just horrible; I am SO SORRY!

I can't begin to imagine what that would be like but I know you need support and love right now so you came to the right place. EVerybody here shares your pain and loss and will help you get back on your feet. I don't know what we would do without BYC to get through these things. if so, you could help prevent this for many other members. at least you would have found some good in a tradedy. just an afterthought.

so very sorry for your loss. I hope the lord blesses you and brings you peace. I agree with many who said that by picking up the pieces and rebuilding is a great thing to show your son. He will remember this for a lifetime and who knows maybe this was meant to help him or someone else learn that when it all seems hopeless and lost by picking oneself up and getting back on the horse we have given ourselves back the power that was taken by the tragedy. Maybe this event is just a window to something new, something better for you, and hubby, and son. You have many blessings to count... it was not the house on fire, your family is all safe, and together you will get to rebuilt something that each of you will invest a piece of your lives in through sharing this traumatic experience.

I'm so sorry about this. I hope that your son is able to learn from this and let it go. He'll have more compassion for others now after experiencing this.

Your husband is right, and so supportive.

Wonderful to have such a person there with you.

You haven't mentioned how the fire started.... do you know? I'm curious about the man watching you put the fire out. Sometimes arsonists will watch to see what happens after lighting a match. I kind of hesitate to write this, because I don't want to point fingers. But this is what happens, though not frequently.

Good luck with rebuilding. And keep us updated, please.
