Coop Camera?

What is the range for the v2 / v3 of the Wyze camera? Thanks!
Do you mean visual range? Like how far you can see? The v3 just had a spot light released for it. But here’s the visual difference between the two. I like the v3 a lot more than the v2. For my yard the v2 is a lot darker and only works well if my flood light comes on.

Thanks for sending these pics. The V3 picture looks great!
We would like to have cameras at different places in the yard. Can you get more than one V3 camera?
I was also wondering about how far the laptop/cellphone can be from the coop area?
Many thanks!

We purchased a blink Camera. $35
it uses wifi needs a power (usb power)
it is only rated for indoor so I am not sure how it will hold up. It is out of the weather. I am new to keeping chickens so I was curious to see what goes on inside their coop so I just purchased something cheap. I dont pay for the optional service so I dont have any cloud storage for recordings. Just want to be able to look inside and see what is going on.

Thanks, exactly! We're new to keeping chickens too and want to check they're okay during the night.

😂 I couldn’t get it to work for me. The recording option never actually recorded and there’s no playback. I love the playback on the v2 and v3. The fact that I needed a separate router for the outdoor camera threw me too. I kept one, I had three, but still haven’t figured it out.
I was wondering about the second router. I have some of the older battery outdoors cameras and they use the same router as the indoor ones, but it sounds like this new version of outdoor needs its own router and you are limited to 3 cameras per router?

Yeah. You need a separate router for the outdoor camera and it does only support 3 cameras. But you can put the camera into travel mode and it’ll still work. It doesn’t work as well as when it’s connected to WiFi but it does work.

We had a Blink camera in there when the chicks were younger, I’m a worry wart . It was fun, we called it the coop cam. As a matter of fact, the avatar picture was from the Blink camera when i had it outside to see if they were using the nipple watering system, they were constantly taking selfies 😂. They never did use the nipples 🙁 We used the indoor mini plugged in, it sends film clips to your phone and saves them, or you can click live and see whats going on now, we like it. You do need a subscription to the service through Amazon.
