Do you mean visual range? Like how far you can see? The v3 just had a spot light released for it. But here’s the visual difference between the two. I like the v3 a lot more than the v2. For my yard the v2 is a lot darker and only works well if my flood light comes on.

I was wondering about the second router. I have some of the older battery outdoors cameras and they use the same router as the indoor ones, but it sounds like this new version of outdoor needs its own router and you are limited to 3 cameras per router?I couldn’t get it to work for me. The recording option never actually recorded and there’s no playback. I love the playback on the v2 and v3. The fact that I needed a separate router for the outdoor camera threw me too. I kept one, I had three, but still haven’t figured it out.
Yeah. You need a separate router for the outdoor camera and it does only support 3 cameras. But you can put the camera into travel mode and it’ll still work. It doesn’t work as well as when it’s connected to WiFi but it does work.

We used the indoor mini plugged in, it sends film clips to your phone and saves them, or you can click live and see whats going on now, we like it. You do need a subscription to the service through Amazon.
