coop cloth

We just bought Hardware Cloth and started putting it up, but it seems very flimsy. My husband could tear it with his hand and cut easily with scissors. Is this really the right thing to use? Any suggestions?

Did you buy metal or plastic hardware cloth? It should be at least 1/2" x 1/2" 19 gauge (metal) hardware cloth.

If it can be torn by hand, imagine what a dog could to with it.
