Coop Design Problems

My coop is about 8x16 and I have about 35 in the coop at the moment but in a few weeks 15 more will be joining them but they will be hanging out in the little pen until they get big enough to join the big girls then I'll have around 2 sq ft per bird if you don't count the "attic" which is where a few hang out and my chicks free range so they only time everyone is in the coop is at night to sleep or when it's nasty weather and my 10 week olds prefer the sleep on the ground in a pile and my silkies and ameraucana hen have their own section and roost ladder and I usually find both silkies on the top rung looking out the window when i come to let everyone out.

Does anyone have drawers as their floor in their coop? I was trying to think of a way I could make some type of drawer that I could slide out and clean. I think I am also going to make a 'poop board' under their roost.
The coop in my avatar has a slide out drawer from the rear as the whole floor and it works great. I use the wood pellets from Wilco and they absorb all the moisture in the poop. I just use gloves and pick out the hard poop twice a week to keep it clean. This system works for me...

Good to hear! We are building our coop...it is 8 foot long, so I think I am going to make 2 slide out drawers that just slide on 2x4s instead of rollers. I read on another thread that if it's on rollers they could get clogged with poop/shavings.
