Coop door lock suggestions

This is on my run, not the coop. Two eye hooks and a small carabineer.
Upside down.

Turn it right side up.

Unhook from the bottom eye, which is on the frame.

Carabineer doubles as door handle to pull the door open.

I need suggestions for a coop door latch/lock. Has to be predator proof but also will not lock me in the coop lol. I wanted to use the sliding lock but it’s too big for the door trim…. and i can’t use a t-lock because of the door supports…

Any other ideas??
Use these gate latches. They can be opened from either side. Lockable from either side as well. If the door sags there is a little bit of allowance. If it moves way out of alignment then the bolt can be moved up or down. So unless someone actually locks you in, then you are safe.

For your application you can either mount it upside down from picture shown

or remove the bolt holding it together and the spring , flip the latch over and put it back together. Only thing is that he handle tab would be facing in (can be bent straight or cut off and rounded), and one of the locking holes will be not usable. Might want to consider because IF the spring should ever fail, the latch will still hold closed due to gravity.

In any case It looks like you will have to chisel out a bit(countersink) it for your door.

Other option,
