Coop door

Good evening, I am a new chicken owner.i bought a coop and built an enclosed run with an electric fence....my question is do I need to lock the coop door every night or is it okay to leave the coop door open all night...? Ty

If the run is secure, you can leave it open. Unfortunately, you usually find it's weakness with missing or dead chickens.
I leave my pop door open year round.

Really up to you to decide if it's secure enough for your liking. Electric is great against bigger things, but smaller ones could still slip through most electric set ups.

I personally see no downside to securely locking chickens in at night, doesn't even take any time if you have an auto door.
