Well, I have the coop finished. ( I posted progress pictures on 4-11-08 if you are interested in how it went together.)

It took me 3 weekends, but it rained most of the first one. All I got done the first weekend was posts set. I did 95% of it by myself, I just got my wife to help when I absolutely had to have someone hold something for nailing.

You can see the posts for the run. I will get that done next weekend.

Coop is approximatley 4'x10'. Outside run will be about 16'x10'.

My buff orpington chicks are really digging being out of the garage!!

Looking good!

Only one thing i noticed that you might want to think about...

From the pics it looks like the roof is basically flat. If it is and that's not just the camera angle, You might want to consider raising the side that is over the run so the rain will run back off away from your run area. Otherwise when it rains, your run is going to be an even soggier mess if all the rain off the shelter is running down in there as well.

Looks nice and compact and I'm sure they will enjoy it!

We're also waiting to do our run, I feel the need!

I noticed some airspace between your outside panels and the chickies- might want to get those well-sealed against snakes, bugs and weasels...

Fortunately, I'm not aware of weasels, minks etc in our area. It is sealed better than it looks, althought I doubt I can keep out bugs or snakes. I was more concentrating on making it racoon and fox proof, which I think I have.
