I envisioned a small cool enough for 4 hens, well that was before DH started to help. The coop is 8 X 8 with a large run attached, mind you this is not a complaint:D. We finished it last week including the flight netting on top we are rather pleased and I wanted to share it with you.

If you notice in the lower left of the picture by the gate is my new chicken guardianExcept I have forgotten how demanding a puppy can be:lol:. What a great Mother's Day gift he was!
My son helped put the netting up and decided it was too short for us to get around in. He started scouting for something to use(please DH he is a saver of all stuff) and found an old TV tower. We pounded it into the ground and placed the netting right over the top. Not only can we walk around the chickens have a place to perch also.

I still need to finish the nesting boxes but have a little time for that project.

Any suggestions are welcome..

We also have a 6 year old Brit and a 5 year old nonsense. The Brits legs are about as long as a Doxie he has run around the pen soooo many times:lol:. Buster the ST likes to come into the coop, and seems to be gentle but I sure do not trust him. I think once the girls are bigger he will be better. My poor beloved cat(the reason for the netting) was killed by a car yesterday.

Looks great, love it! Keep up the good work.

FYI- in order to use the smilies you must first space over atleast once. You may already know, it looked like you tried and didn't space.

I'm sorry to hear about your kitty

We have many of our 4-legged furry friends here, and each and ever one of them are special in their own way.

I guess I was tired when I typed what type of dog Buster and the puppy are. Shi Tzu all typed together =nonsense!
