Coop finished (pic heavy on post #14, w/ run attached #24)

I LOVE your doggie! I have two just like him and they are the best dogs. Your garden is beautiful.

Well, I finally got the run painted and attached. Here are the finished pictures.

I used our old work bench for the run. My husband originally wanted the coop on top, but this was our compromise. It is still usable for a potting table for when I need it. Since our city lot is small, things have to do double duty around here, especially in the garden. Here is my BYC page with my garden pictures. I also added more pictures to it since I was uploading the coop pics anyway.

My daughter painted two more murals in the run before I put the sand and chickens in. Each chicken that she painted is a representation of one of ours, including one science project chick that was a rooster and went to my friend's farm. She didn't have a roo yet, so he will be very happy there.

There are two doors on the front of the run area. They have latches at the top and bottom of each door. Two were used and two were new.

How old is your daughter? The first mural ought to be framed, it is Adorable!!! I would totally buy it. You and your daughter Both have some amazing talent!!!! The coop is very beautiful, as are the murals. I can only hope my coop comes out even remotely close to being as adorable as yours is. Huge congrats on finishing a fantastic project!!!

Thank you all for such kind feedback for a newbie. I can only dream of owning property big enough to have some of the wonderful coops I have seen here at BYC while looking for inspiration. Oh, and to have so many more chickens would be wonderful!

She turned 8 at the end of Feb.
She will be ticked when I tell her someone said this. She is used to seeing me get paid for my art, so this will inspire her to create more. Thank you. I have framed other things she makes, but I can't keep up because she is very prolific.

It is a relief to be done with building, but I still love looking around the coop construction part of the BYC website. Post more pics everyone!
