Chirping
Yes there were 21 that we hatched in an incubator.I can only imagine how devastating. A very hard lesson learned.
So some were chicks without a hen? The ones with the broody hen wouldn't have needed heat.

It was 2 coops with a run in between them. but it was closed off where we could use it as a coop as well. It was not attached to the house it was right beside it though.Must have been a pretty big coop to hold 70 birds.
Did the entire coop burn to the ground?
Was it attached to the house or just close to it?
Devastating.
They are doing much better. The one that I wasn't sure if she would make it started eating and drinking on her own finally. I went to the vet and she is on an antibiotic and they gave me a solution to mix with water to spray on her feet and the feet of the others that got burnt. Two of them have blisters on their feet from it with fluid in them. But overall they are doing much better. Thank you all for your help and advise I greatly appreciate it and this group. How are your survivors doing @Christi326?
I've had broody hens accept raising many more chicks than she hatched.Yes there were 21 that we hatched in an incubator.
