The local fire dept responded to a structure fire last night, by the time they arrived it was fully engulfed and almost on the ground. This morning I was told it was a chicken coop. The cause of the fire was a heater, too close to hay. Chickens survived, chicks did not. Chick season is here, please be careful with how you keep them warm.
