Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

We did our meatloaf last night in a skillet like burgers.
What a great idea. Then you just have what you need. One meatloaf will make 3 or 4 meals here. We have meatloaf one night, meatloaf sandwiches the next and the rest gets frozen for a meal another time.

A little over 40 lbs. I sure hope all these green tomatoes ripen. It was very hard to pick them, but im following your experienced advice. The bowl contains ripe or almost ripe tomatoes. I'll put that in the fridge since I cannot deal with them this week. Will that work???

This is sure the wrong week to be too busy to deal with produce but here i am. Life of the farmer you say? 😂

Honestly, no one should be able to get married during harvest. There's a reason people get married in June.

We also picked a bunch of beans, probably will be another gallon bag for the freezer. DH is cleaning, blanching and packaging those. So nice of him!!!:love

I don't think we've ever weighed those, but this will make 3 stuffed gallon bags and there will be a bunch more to pick next week, unless the rain ruins those too. No time to look these things up, but plenty of time to come in here and pick your brains. 😁

We had to take harvest into account when we got married. Lots of farmers in my family. Kind of restricted on choice because hubby was on leave and would be going on cruise soon. Picked a Sunday afternoon. Paternal Grandfather performed the ceremony at maternal Grandmothers house. Potluck food. 10 minute ceremony and guys got food

This is a semi-formal wedding out of town (San Diego) for our grandson. So unusual these days, but what bride wants, so that is what she should get.

My DH was in the Navy too...30 years. :highfive:

Neither of the boy's served but Richard was a See Bee with the Navy.
Guess he did 18 months in Vietnam deal was a few moths less than 2 years ? Their doing he just got to come sooner.
So did the coop tables and boards brought 3 eggs back. Cooler temps they lay all day long.

Its always what is wanted by the bride for a wedding

My justice of the peace (grandad) wedding is still the only wedding that family talks about. Couple cousins jealous. Others just because everyone had fun and didn't get stressed or tired. Most had catholic weddings
