Coop for sale on ebay... good?

It's been raining most all day here today, so didn't get the interior pics of this coop today. Will try tomorrow if we have a break from the rain.

This is our Pawhut Deluxe coop Oct 2010. By this time we had a second & much larger coop/run combo we built ourselves because our flock had grown (chicken math!

) - we still used this coop tho' and with several of our girls standing in front of it, you can get a basic idea of the actual size.

I posted about this same coop couple weeks ago. Ialmost went out and baught it but after some researh i found it was too small for 4 birds. and if you look there is not really any room for feeders in the coop. I ended up building this one with a few modifications and it was under 200.00 ( i had the chicken wire given to me so i would say it would be 200.00). Feel feree to PM me if you want any advise ot tips. I hope to have pics of mine very soon

I have that coop. I bought if from Ebay and i regret it. I bought it because i needed a second coop faster than i could have one built. Terrible quality. We painted it and caulked every crack and it still gets wet inside when it rains!!!

Here is a picture of it. I don't have any interior pics. I have 4 bantoms in it and 2 standards that are not yet full grown. It's not big enough. I have to build a bigger one as soon as i get the time. Big waste of 100.00. There is hardly any room for food and water, and it's horrible to clean! I wish i had asked the same question you did before i purchasd it!!

I bought one from ebay, a bit different to this one and wished I hadn't. It says six large chickens and I have four grower bantams at 9 weeks, in it and It's still too small. The doors are stuck, the windows are stuck and the sliding pop hole door is stuck. The poop board sliding bit won't move. It's said best quality but looks exactly the same materials as this one. Personally I would avoid it and save money and heartache. X

I'm building my own, maybe that would be an option? I got to pick out how big I wanted it as well as exactly how it looked. I have ZERO knowledge of building anything, and only a handsaw and the odd screwdriver to work with. Oh, and a box of nails but no hammer, lol! My dad has some building knowledge (he's pretty darn good), and all the tools (except we needed a jigsaw, but he just went ahead and bought one because he had another project he needed one for). So, after about 6 visits from him (2 hour drive each way for a visit!), we've got the coop almost put together and it's being painted tonight and tomorrow! Is it level? Well, in some spots...the ground doesn't slope much. Is it perfect? Not at all - having trouble opening and closing a door now that the primer is on (didn't leave enough room on the top, oops!). But does it work? Yes! I love it because I worked hard on it and it's what I wanted. There was quite a bit of a learning curve there (really, one piece of plywood, if held up on all 4 sides, can hold my DH while he's painting? Whoa!) lol, but it was a ton of fun to build it myself, with my dad, and get it done how I want it.

Try to, instead of finding someone who will build it for you, find someone with the tools that will help you build it, it's so much fun!

ETA: If you were a *tiny* bit closer, I'd offer to help, lol!
