I agree, it definitely needs to allow for more ventilation. Plenty of natural light in a coop is also a good thing. If you open up the front with hinged covers that you can close you should still have vents up high that stay open all the time, cover them with hardware cloth.

That side of the house gets plenty of sun. I have 6 hens and a rooster. I agree I will need more sunlight and plan to work on that this week. Should I put the window higher?? They were only in coop a few hours when I saw a fox outside the house! Yikes! Definitely wanna make sure they are secure!

Mine are 14x14 and about 14 inches off the floor, myold bboxes were 12x12 and not uncommon to find 2 hens in the same one squished in there.

Mine are 14" wide, 14" deep, and 16" high with a 10" diameter opening.
