Coop in progress!

I'm so in awe at watching this beautiful coop construction! It's taking me so long to build mine and you make it look easy. Excellent workmanship!

A picture under the floor joists you mean.....or under the foof rafters...?
I used 2X6s(5 1/2" actually) for the floor framing.

Actually the rafters.... the overhang in particular I went from 6 1/2 in the back to 5 feet in the front and there's the gap from where the wall ends (hitting the rafters, they overhang 6 inches) to where the roof begins... (width of the stud + plywood roof.)
I guess I could "box it out" square on the outside to meet the wall?

Well seeing as I put vinyl siding on mine, I installed vinyl vented soffit material up under the overhand but most people put hardware cloth there for more ventilation.

This is what I did for ventilation on the front of the coop...

I worked on the coop some more this weekend. I finally got some paint on the nest box lid frames and got them mounted.
That also allowed me to finish the siding around the boxes.

The lid will hinge from the upper portion of the frames.

I also ran some wire inside for lighting and a couple outlets.

Hi steve, your at it again I see, looking good . I talked to you about the nest box dividers week or so ago. my plan for this long weekend was to make them but only had a couple hours today to work so not done; suprize. your proj is looking real good love the siding.

I couldn't see or figure this out,....but how did you attach your nesting boxes to the coop. And I didn't see were the hinges where to the tops of your boxes. You're hiding them very well!
