My name is Andria, and I grew up with a small hobby farm sized 1/4 acre experience full of chickens, ducks, geese, rainbow trout, etc. But I was a child, so the details and responsibilities didn't fall on my wee shoulders - only the love of creatures.
I have been back in the backyard chicken world for about 2 years prior to this, but needed to build a proper coop and restock after our move in September.
Presently, I have 5 girls. (One is actually my gf's baby but I will house her.
I am hoping this community can assist me with the breed(s) of our 4 new girls. The man I bought them from didn't know.
A fun fact: When asked my favourite smell...? Chicken coops and tomato bushes top my list. I love many smells, but the coop is where I spent so much of my childhood, its an imprinted odor in my brain.
I am crafty. I put the Andi in Handy! My dad and I built the coop together and I loved it. I draw, paint, sew, anything pretty much.
I am an educator for special needs in a primary setting right now, and the kids are wonderful. I have 2 boys of my own - Bracken (19) and Raiden (9)
I went online to look for help with my queries about who's living in my coop now. And it seems that the community is knowledgeable and helpful.
I would like to flock together.
