I suppose I should have said EXTERIOR WALL. But yeah it's 81". Approx 6ft8in. Plenty tall enough. And I would imagine palatial for 20 chooks that we have now eh?
So whaddya think, it's wide enough to partition if I need to.
You could make two rooms if you need to, maybe one bigger room and one sick/brooder room. I always think you should go as big as you can, It would be nice to have three rooms one for storage, feed and what not, plue the bigger the better, Just my thoughts, I don't know everything you have to work with, since you have two wall already built for you it just makes it that much easier.
What you have will work fine so don't take me wrong just stating what I would do.
That second Pic makes it look bigger, If you have a Saw Mill near you you could ask them how much they want for rough cut/sewn wood it'll prob be cheaper then you think and that will make it fit in real nice, if you can't get the old roof off easy you could always do rolled roofing and that stuff is real cheap and real easy.
xD Joe, I'm going for a coup that will keep my chickens safe, dry, and alive. We aren't lookin to impress anyone. Hell the only people that can see it live in a crappy run down trailer!
But yeah. There is a Mill within two miles, however, I got no more money in the budget for this project. I'll be lucky If I don't have to start pullin nails outta the house to finish this coop.
Breadboard, milled stuff, phew if I had that kinda money I'd hire someone to keep the chickens for me. Like Prince Charles does! lol
Yepp, I have MOST of the roofing and siding materials. But I'm waiting on a hand to set my central beam. It's too heavy to hold up, and nail in at the same time.
I will set the man door wall after the beam is installed.
