Thanks for providing the update. Did you see it come back? Did you catch it on a trail camera? I've often wondered if feral pigs would go after chickens. I have yet to see somebody saying they went after their chickens, but that surprises me. I would think that they would.

My first thought was bear, but that's interesting. Wild boar are dangerous, destructive, and very invasive. You can legally kill it, or Fish and Game will dispatch it for you.

At least they will here...

Glad you’ve found out what it is. Had a possum get 2 of my hen in one night. Had to set up a game camera to figure out what it was.

Well, that's good. Pigs have been known to eat chickens. I'm glad this one wasn't one of those. So sorry you will have to rebuild. What a P.I.T.A. At least your flock is ok!
