This was pulling some shrubs last summer. Not the best of pictures! I’m really a red guy, but the right green one came along sooooo.....

I like the old iron. Glad you are able to keep the old girl active. I've run a few old " greenies" lol. As well as a few MH.

Finally got to spend more then 10 minutes working on the coop project. Work,helping the guys we hired to repair our deck. Weekly/daily chores etc have all been taking my time.

Screwed Down the roof panels added wood as needed for the HC to be stapled to as needed and secured the HC. I’ve got a spot up high that needs some scraps from the deck project to fill the voids, some top soil for over the “buried” HC and build a door. Headed out of town for a long weekend next week. Hoping to be done before then but doubtful.

8x12 footprint. We have 14 in there now, once we get the run opened and more roosts built 10 more will be moved in from the grow out pen. The plan is to leave the covered run open 24-7 to help with space issues.

Page 1 shows under it. The top is tall enough to stand up in. There are a couple bails of hay up there, and a few traps!

Someone wanted some inside pictures:

Nest boxes on top and 2x6 isolation crate below. We currently have 2 Cochin, one is broody and sitting on 6 eggs. The other is lowest in the pecking order, our 20 week old roo is trying to do her in... kinda hard wish I had made 2 now!

Sorry for the sun,I should take some shots after dark for here. The big new open side is here by the door. A feeder can be seen. Adding a pop door in this corner this week. Also to the right is the ladder screwed to the wall for loft access.

Oppps missed one!

This is the north side opposite the new “window” pop door and access to the less secure large run.

On top is the roost poles with PDZ/sand in the poop trays. The trays are built soild and work great for hanging feeders. The pipe feeder to the right will get cut down and more poop tray/roost will get built. We have 10 more in the grow out pen that need to be mixed in soon! Chicken math is real!

Yes, just to convince my DW to let a few go! I’m thinking that roo May go, all depends if the Brahma in the grow out is a roo like I’m thinking. Plus how they all react to me and DW
