I am using an old chair turned on its side as a temporary roost right now.
The (2) 6 week olds graduated to the big house just last week so I guess you would call it a training roost.
It gets them a couple feet off the ground just til I can figure out a more permanent solution.
I appreciate this topic as I too have been struggling with exactly what I want to do for a permanent roost.
